While some may see a yin yang pattern in this small purse’s design, that was not Hester’s intent. Rather, the pattern emerged organically when she developed an ingenious interlocking snap closure for the bag. The resulting S-shape led one of her beloved Italian leather craftsmen to name the design Serpentine.
